Hopefully this is a simple yes or no answer that one of you experienced folks can answer...

Is the IOS help available on the CCNA exam sim questions?

Have a good weekend, everyone!

ts8586,

Yes it is in a limited way but realisticly the sims are basic enough that if you need to use "help" you are not ready to take the CCNA exam!

You have got to spend lots of time on a rack of routers or on a good sim and understand the IOS like the back of your hand - or at least the amount of the IOS covered in any good CCNA study guide!

Hope this helps!

I remember having to use the "?" because of a brain fart or two on the CCNA exam. I think it was applying an acl to an interface...I was trying
router(config)#int s0
router(config-if)#access-group 101 in
And I had the error. After this, I tried...
router(config-if)#access-group ?
and it came up with an error. Then I tried
router(config-if)#?
and saw the keyword ip, which I was missing
router(config-if)#ip access-group 101 in
Bam. Pow. Boom.

Burt,

That is exactly it - the "help" is perfect when you have a "brain fart" :) and just need a little pompt!

If you read this forum and several others on the net you should have a pretty good idea of what sims you might see!
