Taking apart at 3904

We have some broken 3904's and I was wondering if anyone has had experience taking it apart and fixing minor problems with it. I currently have 3904's with lines on the screen and some have off hook buttons that are kind of stuck

not the 04, but years ago we used to swap parts to try and save some sets.. with parts going down and labor going up, we don't play with those anymore, but it's do-able

there are some small parts that you can replace, but overall, i wouldn't bother w/it. i replace phones or toss them at this point. not worth the aggravation, plus i don't have the tools either.

Unless you've got a lot of time on your hands, I would send them out to be repaired or just replace them.
