Take control of Virtual PC 2007

I cannot "control" the virtual PC, it boots, displays logon screen, but R-Alt+Click won't take control of virtual pc. I can control the menus at the top (install additions... etc.) but cannot log in.
I created image of the old hard drive (deinstalled from the machine, to get a fresh install on a new hard drive) the image using Acronis. I have three other running using the same procedures, but this one has me stumped. Ideas??

Not used VPC myself but with VMWare it's simply a case of double clicking on the VM itself (once it's running) to make that the environment controlled by the keyboard and mouse.
