Tahoma Font -- issue -- suggest alternative

hi,

My work place seems to like Tahoma font size 8. I on the other hand seem to find many alphabets like J and E sticking to the next letter or number.

Any better alternatives?

On my machine, it says MS Reference Sans Serif and Verdana are very similar to Tahoma.

Also, this site supposedly lists fonts by similarity.
