Tag file associations

Does anyone know what file formats can be tagged in PSP XI? Is there an option somewhere to add more file types? I'm trying to add a tag to a .png and keep being told "Storing metadata to the selected file types is not supported".

Have you tried doing it like this. Open Windows Explorer. Right click on a png file. Choose Open With then browse to PSP. Tick the box 'Always use this program'. That might work.

Hi there, is there any way to make the deafult file type for saving to .BMP instead of .PSP?

If not.. is there a way to save every open picture in paintshop as bmp's as one action instead of having to exit the program and then change each save option on evey picture to bmp one at a time>?

I think you could probably create a batch or a record a script to do it. I'm not at home where I have PSP to test it out but take a look in the help files under scripts or search for batch. I'll take a look later.

Ok, yes I've confirmed it. Go to File, Batch Process. Then choose your files. Click on New Type and choose BMP (mine defaults to it). Choose the folder you want to save them to and then click start. That should do it.

Got a response from Corel a while ago but forgot to list it here. There are only 3 files that can be tagged in PSP XI atm.

JPG
TIFF
PSPImage

I asked why and if they would add more but got no answers to these.
