We have Coral II's and Coral III's in our network. We just picked up a used Coral I off ebay. I'm using the COral II high level password but I keep getting an error message. Can someone share the proper password?

Thanks!

You realise that Coral 1 (FlexiCom 300) was discontinued some time ago and is limited to running no higher than v14 don't you???

The default passwords are the same on all model systems. If you do not know the password to the system then you'll need to reset the memory, which is not an easy process to describe here - best bet is to contact Tadiran or a reseller to get that process.

I'm well aware that the Coral I is discontinued. So what. It still works fine as does the 16 Coral II's and the 3 Coral III's in my network. We will use the I in a Mobil command truck application for public safety. It's features will more than suffice for it's use. I have a discontinued 1968 Dodge Charger that still works fine also, although I would like one of the new challengers too.

Thanks for your response.

ok, here you go:First Init Mex
Set the sw7 on the cpu to debug mode (opposite way).
Press reset button and start the initialization prosess when prompted.
open database by typing OF862,60 and enter
You need to corrupt the current database by assigning zeroes to the word values:
1. SH290:350000 (change content to 0 and press enter).
2. SH290:352000 (change content to 0 and press enter).
3. In case of a bad database in the FM card, or if you like to avoid loading database from the FM card SHb528:0 change the content to 4321 hit enter.
Lastly, you need to initiate the Coral by entering the following: G284:e enter. At this point, if the break prompt appears, you simply type "G" until the system is on the air. Then set dipswitch 7 back to normal.
Caveats
On versions lower than 14.0 on Coral 200 (SL) the offsets are SH18:350000 and SH18:352000
On version 14 or higher on MEX offsets are SH290:450000 and SH290:452000
On versions 14 or higher Coral 200 (SL) &IPX 500 offsets are SH:18:450000 and SH452000.

So, the process is:
switch button 7
select "0" when asked
OF862,60
SH290:450000
o
SH290:452
0
SHb528:
4321
Move Switch 7 back.
Type "G".

Now, the system is in first init and your old known passwords should work.
By the way, Dodge chargers rock.
Good Luck!
