Tabs Call Logging System

Hello,

Do you have experiences with TABS system?
We have this kind of call logging system, but I´m very angry with it, the problems are following:
-External Tops box´s clock is very unprecise and differs with the md´s clock with a big time. So I have to set it manually every 1 or 2 weeks.
-Sometimes in random way it doesn´t collect some extensions´ call information. Only reset or setting the clock helps it, reset is often 2 or 3 times.
-DBF files damage sometimes.
-Sometimes it just stops logging calls at all, and reset is the solution.
-Do you know the right parametering in tabscom.ini for external dna server location(Tabs and DNA server 2 different pcs)?Could you mention an example?

We have several sites with standalone TABS systems and these problems are the same every site.

Du you have suggestions/tips?

Tops box is a BAD product (battery problems, limited capacity,etc...)
If you want GOOD call logging, use Ericsson AAU or any other product that can buffer the CDR's. We have +/- 400 TABS installations over here and have no big problems. what version do you have?

And one more thing:

Sometimes call records are shifting with some characters, I think that´s why port table is full of faulty port entries.

Questions:

** The Tops box may require new batteries - Use alkaline.

-Sometimes in random way it doesn´t collect some extensions´ call information. Only reset or setting the clock helps it, reset is often 2 or 3 times.

** The other alternative is to get rid of the Tops box and make tabs RFF (read from file) and get a WTI Call Record Box) - probably have to upgrade to version 7 Tabs.

-DBF files damage sometimes.

** From the maintenance screen - Fix database, from root directory run a full analyse - could take a while


-Sometimes it just stops logging calls at all, and reset is the solution.

** Check the sleep mode for the Tops box - set it to stay alive all the time.

-Do you know the right parametering in tabscom.ini for external dna server location(Tabs and DNA server 2 different pcs)?Could you mention an example?

** Impossible to say without knowing the network - however to test - take caapi.ini and the files from the DNA server -place on the local drive and test from there.

Delete the "last success" in the tabscom.ini - bring up the collector and it will update the Tabs Database.

I tried install TABS with external Combo box
Does some one info about led's lighting.
Should lit led 3 port(direct to PC) after null modem cable connected to PC?
Or it should lit after TABS software find Combo box?
