i have a table row that is divided into three parts, left middle and right.

the bgcolor for the <tr> is grey

but the color is not smooth throughout the row. for each section, <td</td>, the color breaks and the bgcolor for the page shows through.

if i dont divide the row into parts, there is no problem of course.

does anyone know how to fix this?

you probably didn't set table cells spacing and padding attributes to zero:

<table border=0 cellspacing=0 cellpadding=0>
. . .
