Hi!

Got this problem:

I made a html using tables. In MS IE it looks fine, but opened with Netscape Navigator... #$%&//(

why so?

thx, Gupy

The browsers are not compatable. FrontPage is made to work with Internet Explorer. The easiest way to control your tables in Netscape is to use pixelshims--images the same color as your background. If you want your column to stay set at 150 pixels, simply put a pixelshim set at 150 pixels into an empty cell.

There's in option somewhere in FP that allows you to tell the software what browsers to be compatible with.

Are you using pixel size or percent to measure your tables?

How exactly are your tables messed up in Slowscape?

Are not compatible? Wasnt html meant to be an universal language?

Kjonnnn: Where can i find that nice option?
em... im using both... but pixels in first plan
.. and tables are messed up like... hm ... first there is first cell and then second and so.. and rows cells are separatelly at the end...

please go take a look at any solution for that?

thx

Gupy

To find the Netscape/FrontPage capability feature, go to Tools>Page Options>Compatability. However, all the option for making it compatable with Netscape doesn't let you use certain features in FrontPage (they would be grayed out). Netscape is terrible with tables created in FrontPage, and IE is terrible with tables created in Netscape Composer. Unfortunately, though the World Wide Web Consortium is trying to get all the browsers to be universally compatable, it still hasn't happened.
