Tables in Word

I have a word document with a table as part of the document. I want to slant the text alignment in one of the cells but can't figure out how to do it. I tried creating the table in excel and inserting the table into word but it puts the text alignment back to normal. Any tips to help me out?

You cant slant the text unless you put a text box in the table. What you can do is spin the text rounf by 90 degrees. Highlight the cell, click on FORMAT and then TEXT DIRECTION.
