Am I really wrong about this, or am I just too used to using CSS?
Why is it that if I define a Word 2002 table style to use a particular font, is it NEVER used? Instead, I always get the font of the preceding paragraph. Logic says that if I am allowed to specify a different font in (say) the header row for a given table style, there should be SOME way in which it can actually be applied!
Same applies to paragraph spacing. If I am allowed to specify paragraph spacing for (say) the footer row, there should be some way in which this can be applied too. Everything is dictated by the preceding para style, which is nonsense if you're typing a report and insert tables, sometimes after headings, sometimes after quote styles, sometimes after "normal" text...
Please enlighten me, otherwise I am condemned to believing this is a poor implementation by MS (!)
