Hi, I have started a new job where I update an SQL database that is used with a GIS system. There is no documentation on how the database has been organized or on how to update the data, i.e. which tables I should be adding data to. Is there a way of diagraming the database, showing what relationships exist between tables?
Thank you,
Michael Kohler

SQL Server has a Database Diagram tool built into Enterpise Manager/Management Studio.

Or if you have Visio, you could reverse engineer the database to view the relationships.

If you have a data modeling tool, then most of those tools will probably do a reverse engineer as well.

Another option would be to try an Access ADP project. I think it has a Database Diagram tool built in as well, but I'm not 100% sure.
