Table Permissions When Using Data Adapter From .Net

Not sure where to ask this. If I use a data adapter in .Net, what permissions do I have to set for the table to do updates and inserts? Do I just need Select permission, or Update & Insert too?

Updates/inserts are the db_datawriter role. And to read you need the db_datareader role. Typically those two roles, along with public, are assigned to a .Net access user.
