I am linking Oracle Tables into Access with ODBC driver and have a question about table merging. The Oracle Database contains tables with records which are in a production environment (Current) and tables that contain records that have been archived (old).

I need to determine the best method to merge these tables back together in Access in order to link to tables which will contain all records.

Ex. ABC_CIRCUITS
ABC_CIRCUITS_ARCHIVE

CARDS_VIEW
CARDS_VIEW_ARCHIVE

ABC CIRCUITS (Merged) linked to CARDS VIEW (Merged)

Card Type<------------------------>Card Type

I have many tables that I need to merge back together and each scenario as above would contain all the same fields in each table (Production & Archived).

Thanks for any help in advance.

Ask the Oracle's dba to create a view merging the two tables.

Hope This Helps, PH.

That would require a request and at least a 4 week wait time for completion. That would be a valid way to handle the problem if possible in a timely fashion. Thanks

Can anyone provide a solution to accomplish this in Access?

Create an UNION query.
