Hey all, I've been working on getting a Postfix(2)+ Courier-IMAP + MySQL system running for about a year now. (Off and on, I gave up a few times) but this time I'm determined.
I've followed Christoph Haas's Guide ( and I've triple checked every configuration file. Still, I'm getting the same problem in my /var/log/mail.err file:
-----------------
Nov 25 18:31:19 orwell postfix/trivial-rewrite[9608]: fatal: mysql:/etc/postfix/mysql-virtual_forwardings.cf(0,100): table lookup problem
-------------------
The syslog shows some interesting messages:
---------------------
Nov 25 18:48:46 orwell postfix/cleanup[9957]: warning: A0AFAC4C017: virtual_alias_maps map lookup problem for root@localhost.red-fusion.org
-----------------------
Interestingly enough, localhost.red-fusion.org is not a valid FQDN so I have no idea where it is getting this from. Any suggestions on what is going on here? Do I need to provide more information? Thank you.
