Hi All,

is there a way in oracle you can view the linkage of tables
as you can in SQL enterprise manager?

Ps. I am new to oracle..

Many Thanks

Can you explain a little more and perhaps give an example. I'm not sure what you mean.

In order to understand recursion, you must first understand recursion.

I want to see the table linkage...for example

employees.employee_id = sales.employee_id

this to be show as tables and the linkage represented. Rather than written in code as above...?

Many Thanks

Query DBA_CONSTRAINTS Where Constraint_type = 'F'.

I am new to oracle, please can you advise what that does?

Thanks

Thanks for the link, but that does not resolve my question.

I am after a db linkage diagram in oracle and if this is possible...rather than displaying code, I want to see ERD in oracle....

Is this posssible?

Yes, if you get ERD software (program) to do it, you can see an ERD diagram of the databse.

There are many free and not so free programs that reverse engineer an Oracle database schema.

Check out some of these.

So, what IS the question?:
is there a way in oracle you can view the linkage of tables
or
but I am asking if a schema is available within orcale?

Hi All,

thanks for your help, the point I was making and trying to get to was the 'Query Builder'..which I have know found.

In query builder why can't I just double click or drag and drop a table from the object explorer and bring into the linkage?

Many Thanks
