Hi,

I have an sqlplus query: The moment I do not add too many columns to the query, the query results are formatedd the way I want:

Column1 Column2 etc.
2,0000 50% etc.

Now the moment I add "too many" columns, formatting changes to a format I do not want:

Column1 2,0000
Column2 50%
etc. etc.

Any ideas on how to prevent this?

Thnxs in advance,

EK

sqlplus sure doesn't sound like a Sybase product I know of (Oracle, maybe?). At any rate, the select statement isn't going to have any effect on the formatting--that's purely up to the client program that's displaying the results. There are a variety of client programs that might serve you better than the one you're trying to use. My personal favorite among the free ones is WinSQL Lite from (navigate to Products then WinSQL the "Lite" version is freeware and has moderate control over the formatting of results).

Best of luck,
