Table lay-out

Hi,

I have an sqlplus query: The moment I do not add too many columns to the query, the query results are formatedd the way I want:

Column1 Column2 etc.
2,0000 50% etc.

Now the moment I add "too many" columns, formatting changes to a format I do not want:

Column1 2,0000
Column2 50%
etc. etc.

Any ideas on how to prevent this?

sqlplus sure doesn't sound like a Sybase product I know of (Oracle, maybe?). At any rate, the select statement isn't going to have any effect on the formatting--that's purely up to the client program that's displaying the results. There are a variety of client programs that might serve you better than the one you're trying to use. My personal favorite among the free ones is WinSQL Lite from

http://www.indus-soft.com/

(navigate to Products then WinSQL the "Lite" version is freeware and has moderate control over the formatting of results).
