I am beginning to convert a database which was created in Paradox. However, in importing the paradox tables, some give me an error which says:

"Index or Primary Key can not contain a null value."

I have looked at the original paradox table and none of the records have a "null" value in the key. However, several of the records have compound keys. Some of them do have a null value in the second field used to create the key.

Is this my problem? Does Access not allow this in building a compound key?

Thank you for any help.

I would recommend outputting the data from Paradox to CSV and importing to Access, that way you can choose which fields to import and also ensure the data integrity.

Please let me know if there's anything else I can do . . .
