Hello--

When exporting a large table that contains Invoice and Line Detail records to text file, Access is inserting a blank row between each line.

What can be done to avoid this?

Thank you!!

How are you doing your export?

My only thought is that your data contain a CRLF (Carriage Return/Line Feed) but that seems unlikely.... Unless you are exporting something other than a table or query, in which case you can get all kinds of weird formating.

Found it.

The last field, which only contains about 15 characters, was set to length 255. Perhaps it contained a carriage return as well, not sure.

When I shortened the field length, the empty rows disappeared.

Sounds like it was just text wrapping rather than actual blank lines, then.
