Table display problem FF vs: IE 1

The page is
It's a trivial page - two tables separated by an HR. FF displays it as I intend. IE puts the second table to the right of the first, almost like I have absolute positioning or an open float or something, which I don't have, unless I missed something.

Why?

Not really that weird actually. [tt]align="left"[/tt] is just a deprecated HTML equivalent of the [tt]float: left;[/tt]. So I would say results were expected.
