table calc between dates

I am using CR 2013

I have some exchange rates and I need to compare the output between 2 dates on the SAME row. I run the rport between 2 dates, so this is what I need

date 1 date 2 diff

USD 1.3 1.35 0.05
xxxx
yyyy
etc

If you do this in normal way then the data shows underneath on separate rows but I need a row per currency

I did try a cross tab report which does lay it out in format required BUT I cant seem to create the difference in the cross tab

Any ideas please?
