Here's a scenario:

I have a simple 1 row, 2 column table. My questions are:

1. I want to have the borders visible on top and middle ONLY.
2. How to make the borders thinner than the default value.

Thanks,

Rob

As far as I know since the border is defined in the <table> tag itself you would have to be either whole hog or no hog with your borders for the table. And you can't go less then 1 greater than 0 on the width.

you can specify as many or as few borders as you like using css.

in dw, if you go: window --> css styles, you can define new styles to apply to your page or to your whole site.

this means you could define a style to apply to your whole table or to apply to individual cells.

in this case if you want a border to appear like...

simply create a style with a top border, for the left hand cell, and a style with a top border and a left hand side border for the right hand cell.

and if you're trying to get rid of the big chunky default borders, try putting your cellspacing to 0.

hope this helps,

ss
