Table background don't work in NN. 1

Can anyone tell me how to make a background for a table section in Netscape. I have <td ... background=&quot;image1.gif&quot;> &amp; it works fine in IE, but not in NN. Your help is greatly appreciated.

in netscape you must have something in the table cell or the background is ignored.

In netscape the property of tables is that it will tile ur background no matter what happens accross the table if the image is large enough
