hi all, im trying to register a ocx control tabctl32 on a windows 7 machines to run vb6.
if i run this command regsvr32 command, it finishes succesfully but if i go on a tab its still returnig the error message that the control is missing. im running as an administrator.
is there anything else i must do.

If you use an installer to install your program you shouldn't have this problem.

Most likely you're having 64-bit issues here, not Windows 7 issues. The OCX needs to go into SysWOW64 instead of System32, and you have to run the 32-bit version of regsvr32 (also in SysWOW64) from an elevated command prompt.

However by now who knows what you have done in terms of registering the component into a virtualized registry location?
