Tabcontrol Resizes beyond form size

I am writting an app in vb.net. I have a form with a tabcontrol with 2 tabs only.At design time, the tab control size is smaller than the form,but when I run the application the tab control resizes itself beyond the form size such that I can't see the borders of the tabcontrol and some controls on the right hand side are partialy visible. In my form properties I have set the statup position to center, windowstate Maximized.There are no form properties changed in the load event of the form. Can anyone tell me why the tabcontrol does not keep the size I gave it in design time?

Check your SizeMode. If it is set to FIllToRight, change the setting to Normal.
