Tab Palette has gone blank

Tab palette used to work fine, but when I click for it now it comes up blank -- no ruler, leader box, magnet or other gizmos. Problem persists despite what text is selected or tool is in use. Any suggestions for getting it back short of reloading the program (and losing a load of preferences)?

You can try going to Window menu/Workspace and clicking default. Then open the tabs window and see if you got your stuff back.

Very often, it's corrupted preferences that botch things up, but you said you don't want to lose the prefs.

Are you fully patched? I recall this may have been fixed in an update.

That could well be it (I've been a little slack about updates). I've changed the frequency of update checks to once a week, and when it asks next I'll try it. Thanks again.
