i was wondering, lets say i have 2 edit boxes, and im currently on the 2nd edit box, how would i force the program to go back to the 1st edit box?

What does this have to do with the subject, "tab control"? Anyway, you can always force the focus back to the 1st edit box by calling SetFocus() on it.
