I really hope someone can help me with this. I have a tab control on my form, and after doing something (I don't know what, but it wasn't anything to with the tab control, I think), it's no longer there!

It's still there, in that I can select a big grey box on my form, and according to the properties, that is my tab control. It still has all the same properties as the tab control, but it's just a big grey box. At design time and run time.

I can't deal with setting the tab control back up, unless it's absolutely necessary. Is there anything I can do to get it back?

BlindPete, yes it is. It is possible that I've accidentally changed one of the other properties, though, although I can't imagine why it would have such an effect.

Am I screwed?

MORE: If I use the properties window, I can drill down to an object on one of the tab pages, and it shows all the objects on that page - it also switches to the second page if I select an object on that page.

I just can't get it to look or behave like a tab control.

If you right click on the All tab and click on "Non default properties only", you may find the offending property.

Alternativly, you may find it quicker to copy off all the objects to a new form and start again.

You pointed me in the right direction. The only property I could find that could have any affect was ActivePage. It was set to 0, so I set it 1, and re-saved the form.

Now, the form appears to be okay, and I'm off to make several backups, so I can avoid this kind of thing in the future.

Thanks
