I have been beating my head against the wall on this one. When the console is in night service, we are routing calls from the auto attendant to a night bell so anybody can dial a feature code to pickup the incoming call. This works, but it takes 8 rings before it gets there. Are there any timers or delays to change the number of rings?

why are u sending it thru a autoattdt? Why not send it directly to the taas?

Please let me clarify....

When someone calls, The auto attendant picks up, "Thank you for calling". Most will hold or press zero. At this point, when in night service, we want it to route to paging system. When not in night service, we want it to ring console.

Does this help?

What is the "zero out" destination of the autoattdt? Does it go to the attd(601 series) extension? Or does it go to a hunt group? Is there anything in the TAAS box on the attdt forms?

The zeroed out destination is the extension of the console (8501). I do not have any TAAS options under the attendant programming. I can only program TAAS under "chan console".

Is the console a actual console, or are U using a 6400 or 8400 series phone? If it is a callmaster 602 phone, u shouldn't be using the extention as the zero out destination. U should send the call to attendant vectoring if u have it, or send it to a "listed directory number" or hunt group that has a cover path to the att.

This is an actual console (302a). Would the same apply?

Perfect. Created a listed directory number, changed the auto attendant and worked like a charm. Thanks

yes sir
that is why u are having problems.
Avaya installs then that way, incorrectly. It is even in their documentation! While employed there, requested that they correct it, but they ignored me, as they have with all suggestion to improve customer service.
