TA824 Hold Music

Is there a code to get the hold music to work? We've plugged in a music source into the hold music plug, but people put on hold still don't hear anything. I heard there was a program code that had to be entered into the TA824 in order to activiate the hold music.

if they can,t hear anything on hold, it is more than likely set to external al readdy, can you hear bgm?
what muscic source are you using, is it line in or speaker input

Check first that ot is set to sexternal

You can check the programming for external music on hold
On the Main Phone enter programming
Program *#1234
then enter program code 111 for Hold Music Selection
Make sure you set it to External ( To change press the select key and to store the value press the autodial store key )

You can turn on the BGM music source and listen to it via the speakerphone on the hkey phones by pressing digit 1 on the keypad wen the handset is on the cradle and
the SP-PHONE/MONITOR button is off
