Good Morning People,
I Have about 300 BCM400 4.0s that are pretty much set up cookie cutter style for supermarket stores. Each on ehas 2 7406e sets on site. The same 2 ext numbers and set programming for every lacation. They same to crap out on me quite often and when I send replacements the end users can't figure out from the directions how to register the replacements. Is it possible since I have a exact replica system working in my lab that I can register them here and ship them to site providing they give me the right dn and port id?

I don't think it's possible. The phone needs to register to the base station.

If all you are doing is replacing the existing sets, with sets that are similar.

Shut off Auto Set Relocate, this way you can replace the phones and the programming remains the same.

Bluemr2 is correct, the sets need to be on the system for them to be programmed.

What do you mean that the sets are not working?
What seems to be the issue with these sets?

The phones are just dying in a number of ways. Keypads not working, staying asleep, displays disappearing, not holding charges, etc. What I was hoping to do is register them to a base station in the office, using the same port ID nad ext number, same set programming, etc. then shipping them to site hoping that when the set is powered up it would scan and connect to the base on site.

Unfortunately, these 7406e sets need to be registered and programmed to the system that it is running on.
You cannot pre-program these sets.

Not too sure about these issues, I know that I have installed several of these, and the only thing that has gone wrong is the battery looses charge. So a new replacement battery is purchased.
