Actually I just fixed this myself, but am still curious if anyone else has ever experienced something like this.
On a MICS 7.1, 1 CI cartridge, 1 ASM module, and among various 7310 and 7308 sets, two 7406 base stations, one serving three cordless handsets and the other serving one.
User (ok, my wife) reported two of the handsets having "sticky" keys; being unable to dial calls correctly.
What I found was this: after the first keypress which acted normally, the second would not display until the third key was pressed, and so on.. 4th press displays 3rd digit, and so on. Waiting a full 5 seconds after the last keypress would display the whole number.
so, from idle:
press 1 display 1
press 2 display 1
press 3 display 12
press 4 display 123
press 5 display 1234
wait ....
display 12345
after cleaning the keypad (which changed nothing), I noticed this problem was limited to the handset by itself on its base station, power cycled that base, and it's back to normal.
Is my Norstar getting into the Halloween spirit, or what?
