okay so i have done at least 15 of these and this one is giving me a headache

bcm50 6.0

registered to t7406 to base no problem

changed the dip switches back to all on on the base and powered back on

now the base never fully boots up

the powere led just blinks green and the station lights are solid yellow

i tried rebooting a few times but still nothing

any ideas?

atually nevermind

the manual says that the power led is indicating the base is active

but the orange for the stations is indicating initializing

i verified the wiring is correct
also changed ports

i used ports that are being currently used by other phones so i am sure they are good

what else could be preventing it from initializing?

2 common mistakes techs make:
-on the RJ 45 it terminates left to right instead of inside to out.
-send the SS code ONLY on the first handset and not any others

And make sure each is set to their own ID #.
Dips I think should be 1 down 2 up 1 down

All I can think of right now

They are t7406es and the manual says

Down down up for registration mode

Down down down for regular mode

Also verified the wiring is correct
