Occasionally from a handset extension I will get access denied when trying to program internal dial to respective buttons

Is there something I can do?

Hi parm2013

It is possible that another user is programming buttons, or another is in programming, the BCM only allows one session at a time to access the Telephony settings.

Thanks Dave.

Should be OK programming buttons using feature + *1 / *2 / *3 from any handset though.

Cheers Dave.

I was reading the original question as trying to program the internal dial extension, which is done in configuration/system programming. On reading again it does look like trying to program internal auto dial buttons. The only thing I can think of that would give an access denied message is if the set had an active call on hold or a call was ringing at the set while trying to program the buttons.
