T7316 vs T7316e

Why, when I plug in my t7316 telephone I can program it with handsfree and the button will appear on the set. H/f, Intercom, Intercom, etc. However, when I plug in a t7316e telephone the H/f button dissapears?

The handfree key is now below the volume bar, middle key. T7316E has a dedicated handsfree key.

Do all the 7316E phones have the silly little icons on the dedicated keys or are there some user friendly ones with English words in existence? The world doesn't need any more icons and symbols, especially on telephones.
