We have a MICS 7.1 with all T7316 phones. I added a new extension on a station module that already has other T7316's on it. The port thinks the phone is a M7310. Has anyone else seen this before and what can I do to make the system see that it is a T7316? I unplugged the phone and plugged it back in and I disabled an re-enabled the port and it didn't change. Thanks.

When I looked under Port/DN status and then Device it shows as a M7310. Same thing under user preferences. The only reason I saw that it thought it was a M7310 is because when I went into programming the arrows for Show, Next and Back were in the middle of the buttons on the T7316 instead of being at the top. Wierd.

T7316 is an M7310 and shows as an M7310. T7316e is different.

T7316e - e on the end is 2nd generation so as Marv states the non e (T7316) will show as an M7310.
The button layout as far as Lines will assume the bottom 5 buttons on each side as if an M7310.

Look under the set to confirm the model name.

The part number is the same for both (NT8B27) when I google it and on my desk phone and the new phone. My desk phone does have T7316e on it - the two I ordered have a label on the box that says T7316e...

Easiest way to tell the difference is the "e" has a separate hands free button. The non e uses button 16 as the HF button.

Thank you all for the information! The set is definitely a a T7316e because it does have the handsfree button in between the speaker button and the headset button (below the volume control bar). And they are new phones not refurbished. I put one of our older phones in that jack and it is now a T7316. Hmmm now to test on another port that already has a T7316e there. If you have any other ideas I would appreciate hearing them!

for the phone in question, go into TERMINAL & SETS > DN > USER PREFERENCES > MODEL. Check the model type there and change it to 7316e.

Auto set relocation off, tried phone in two different ports and still a 7310. Looked in User Preferences but it doesn't have an option to change. And yes, we do have three T7208's. I used to work in this field but haven't for 10 years. We have a Norstar at work so I do the programming, MAC's, etc.

Mystery solved! Thank you number1telecom! The back looks like it has the plug for the the T24 on it but when I took the back cover off it doesn't! I'll be returning the T7316 to PBS Supplies. Thank you all for your help!
