have mics rel 7.0 and a few 8 button 7208 phones. customer has 7 lines and an intercom key. handfree has been set to none. they now want the HF button on the 8 button sets which would cut the 7th line off the phone. is there another way to set up the phone for all 7 lines and intercom and HF button. they answer all 7 lines from anywhere. have them parking the call now till i figure this out. also all lines ring in on all phones.

You could place all sets in a hunt group as Ring Only and have the trunks ring to the group. The calls would ring in on the intercom keys. Handsfree and 2 I/C keys would leave 5 buttons free on the phone. Configure these buttons as System Wide Call Appearance buttons on all phones, when they use one of these buttons to place a call on hold it will show up on all other phones. The Park timer will control how long the call will stay on that button.

If you use a single hunt group for all the 7 lines, each phone will only be presented one incoming call, even if the 7 lines are ringing. If the users need to answer more than one incoming call, it will not work very well.

Instead, you can put each line into its own hunt group. You would end up with 7 hunt groups, one for each line. This will allow as many incoming calls as Intercom buttons.

Another solution is to simply change the lines from "Appear & Ring" to "Ring Only". This will also allow as many incoming calls as Intercom buttons.

could i leave 6 lines as app and ring and the last line as ring only and it would ring in on the intercom? that would leave a button for the intercom and HF. probably would never get to line 7 on a roll over anyway.

Yes you could but they should grow up to the big leagues and start using park and page.

You're going to either have to replace the phones with bigger sets or use Ring Only with transfer an/or park and page.
