t614 printing multiple copies from SAP but not office apps

I have an optra t614 that prints fine from office but when a user prints to it from SAP it prints multiple copies until you cancel the job.
Also when you run a test print from the printer it prints multiple copies.
I suspect the engine board has a fault but I'm not quite sure.

Any help will be appreciated

Run an engine test to disqualify the Engine controller from the formatter. To me it sounds more like a formatter problem.
