I know this is a little off topic but I need to get some answers and fast...Never expected Verizon to move as fast as they did and now I am in a time crunch so here goes.
What is the maximum distance for a coax run for DS3. If my run happens to be longer than this distance then what are my options for extending the length. I have a Cisco 7206 with a PA-t3 card. Am I going to have any problems with a long coax run.

Thanks
Ron

The spec for Coax DS3 w/BNC connection @ 45MBS is 150 Meters/500 Feet. If this distance is lower than what you need, you simply add repeaters. Keep in mind the 5/4/3 rule. In case you forgot it, or never cared to remember it like some of us it means:

The maximum number of segments is 5, connected by a maximum of 4 repeaters and only 3 of those segments can have nodes on them.

This applies to coax Ethernet environments.

Incidentally this caption is off the Cisco site:

"Line build-out is programmable for up to 450 feet of 734A or equivalent coaxial cable or up to 225 for 728A or equivalent coaxial cable."
Regards,

Don
