T24 Key Indicator Module (KIM)

I have been trying to install a T24 module (CAP) to my T7216E telephone. First I unplug the phone and install to the unit. Next, I go into system programming to assign the DN number to the station, with no luck.
Is there something else that i must do to make it operational? I am not even getting any flashing light to indicate that I have made a connection?

With a little research I think that I have answered my problem..... the software version has to be 6.1 or higher, right?
