can I put a T1 in an Option 11 that's currently on rls. 18.30? Will this software support a B8ZS signalling? I have not got the first idea what any of this means, but I really need to know.
Yes, Opt 11 will support basic T-1 b8zs esf on release 18.3, you just need an empty slot on the main cabin (preferably slot 1, but you can install it on up to slot 4 max, because of the clock card), a clock controller card, a T-1 cable and a csu /dsu (or just plug the T straight into the smartjack). As far as I've tried, it works fine on R18.3 general business and enhanced. It is not possible to run PRI on the General Business release (You will need to add the pri software packages)
The vendor usually provides the CSU. And, no, you are not looking for unused voice units, but you may end up having to relocate whatever you have on slots 1 or 2 to a higher slot, to make room for your new ntak09 DTI card with the ntak20 piggyback clock controller board. It will also help to check your tn level, to see if you have enough left to create the trunks on the T1.
I am still not sure what you mean to TNs for my T1 trunks. I guess i thought the card i am purchasing has the TNs on it (??) I am VERY new to this T1 process. And how can I check whether my PBX supports AMI or B8ZS signalling?

Cards do not come with TN's. Cards are Hardware, TN's are software. And I believe AMI and B8ZS is standard, someone correct me if I'm wrong
