Hi Tech people,
I'm wondering T1 and wireless T1, Which one is better cause we 're going change our T1 line.
also once we change, we have to change ip address of SCO server(Openserver5.0.5)
can some body give me an example, What we need to do to complete replace ip from old ip to new ip for matching Ip address of new provider.
Thanx

Wireless T1?? Say what? Dedicated microwave towers at your site?

Or are you talking about the new satelite based ISP's? Those are limited to around 350-500K D/L and 56 or 128K upload speeds. And they are only for home users, not business.

As far as changing the IP address of the SCO box - why? Just get a decent firewall that can do NAT and maskerading. You have to get some kind of firewall anyway.

Depending on the size of your site, there are some nice combination firewall and switches coming on the market. Cisco has some pricy ones with many bells and whistles, Netgear has just come out with some cheaper basic ones.
