We are running on Opt 11 with 125 DID lines. We had a T1 and bumped it up to a 4.5 MBPS Dynamic T1 when the school added their internet access to it a few years back. They are switching to cable so we no longer need the added capacity. Our sevice provider quoted a 3 MBPS DSL service at less than half the cost of a 1.5 MBPS T1. Can we run the pbx on DSL? If so, issues? Thanks.

You can't run the PBX on DSL. It needs a T-1 or PRI. Or you could do SIP trunks if your PBX is equipped for it.

I didn't think DSL would work but I wasn't sure.

Thanks!

You cannot run the PBX directly on DSL. If you have a converter (T1<->DSL), then you would run T1 from the PBX to the converter and then DSL over the MPLS network.
