Ok, I have a 2 cabinet Definty, with a T1 card for voice, and T1 card with no conection, but has the splitter on back. The customer tells me that inbound calls are dropping, while on hold or in progress. I am thinking it is the T1 card. I had the SP come out and test the T1 for clocking, packets and everything else.
Any advice??

What do you see when you status the trunk group? Do any tests fail when you test board (T1 Location) long? Is your DS1 parameters set up to match the provider? When I have problems I usually test the board and read the maintenance manual. Also check errors on the board you suspect is causing the drops.

also try entering "list measurements ds1 summary (board location)" this will tell you if the T1 is taking "slips", "misframes" or "errored seconds" any of these in high numbers could cause cutoffs, the trouble could be the Channel Service Unit the DS1 board or the Telco. Try doing a loopback test after hours to isolate the trouble.
