I am looking into getting a T1 tester, for head to head testing with CO, and my network guy etc. What are you guys using, your likes and dislikes about the product etc.
Flukes are awesome testers, but have one big dis-advantage: price.
I am thinking of those hand held testers, the last place I worked at had them I think from Sun?
Thanks for the input

we use Trend auroraduet which is great and quite cheap

That rug really tied the room together, did it not?

NCC Network Probe 7300. The various permutations of network probe 7000 series (7000, 7050, 7100 with an without options) come up on ebay all the time for dirt cheap. I have several plus several spares. These are very nice.

The newer software even allows you to capture A and B bit transitions - I have seen nothing similar for troubleshooting robbed bit T1 signaling problems. The 7300 includes ISDN, for the earlier models they must have the "I" suffix in the serial number.

The Aurora Duets are nice, but the network probe is a bit easier to use since it has a larger display.

For a basic bit error tester and test set the T-Com stuff is nice. The T Gun is very easy to use.

The T-berd family are industry standard, but they go for way too much used since they have such brand-name recognition.

Good luck
