Hello, I am trying to program a T1 on a MICS but have had no luck in grtting it to work. It also has 4 analog lines that work at the 66 block but don't work on the phone system. Does anyone know the programming procedure for this?

Thankyou

1st off what kind of a T-1 are we talking about here PRI,PTP,FRACTIONAL give somemore detail and I can get it working for you. As far as the 4 analog trunks are you assigning the proper trunk ports to the sets or pool? Are these copper trunks a back-up for the T. Try to give a little more detail and we will get this resolved.

The T-1 is a pri with a block of 60 did's. The analog lines are a backup and are comming off a chanel bank on another T-1. I'm using slot 3 for the T-1 card and slot for the analog card. I even swapped slots and did a startup to default the system. Thanks for the help.

I don't believe the switch is sophisticated enough to run a T1 and POTS simultaneously.

First T1 on system should be on slot 4 .
Do you have service / combo card for clocking ?
If your T1 is ISDN PRI , you also need a keycode .
The above is just to cover basic hardware .
Go to FAQ for more details on programming .

Madwork has your basics. Once you cover those, and the keycode is in, make sure you've got the T1 card assigned as PRI. Do this by disabling the card under Maint, and changing the card type under Hardware. Then reenable the card and make sure your config matches the Telco's. Usually ESF/B8ZS, NI2, etc...

Then you can build target lines.

Need to build a Route(001) and eliminate your Line Pool Code (9) and make it a Dest. Code, pointing to Route 001.

Adversity is Opportunity

And after you do all that, then you need to build your target lines with your DID's. Make sure you also have the recieved digits matching what your carrier is sending you.
