O, this is my first T1 and ARS programming. I have set up smaller lageng/magix systems, but never been faced with this.

Presently they have a data T1 with external CSU. Using channels 7-24 for voice. Straight T1 going to slot 7. ESF, B8ZS, RBS, and DMS-100 (i think) Lines will all be wink. What else do I need to do for the T1? The T will only be for outgoing right now. (will swap DID copper over to T later)

ARS. I need to build ARS tables for 800, local and 911 to go over pots lines, and all long distance over the T. Dont need time of day junk.

I have the book, but forgot how to read greek.
Thanx

If it's a T1 and not a PRI, after you select T1, you need to select TIE or all tie, and set the trunks in there.

ESF, B8ZS, RBS these are all right. Then you have to set up a pool with all the trunks in it under lines/trunks, pools.

Then go to tables, ars, suba pools and last and second to last tables are your default toll. For instance a magix, 26,1 is you default local 1st choice and 25,1 is your default toll, 1st choice. 26,2 is default local 2nd choice and so on. In there, enter your pool number for your T1 as 1st or 2nd choice and for default and local. Also make sure you designate what the special service and 911 tables will use for outgoing.

So, After I add my T1 trunks to the pool group (890). I make that the first pool group for default toll 25 and the pots pool (70) the secondary? Do the opposite on the local toll 26 ?

OOps...for the t1, make all lines tie too.

What exactly are the sub pools for? Deciding when (what times) to us these tables?

If I am going to have N11 and 800 numbers as well as local calls all going over the pots (pool 70) what else do I need to do?

Matt

All Tie

Ok I see what you want. Do this...

26,1 = Pool 70
26,2 = Pool 890

25,1 = Pool 890
25,2 = Pool 70

N11, E911, etc. = Pool 70

Set this up, and you got it made.

The time settings is you use certain trunk groups for certain times of day, etc.

SubAPools are the section where you assign pools to tables.

I have a question, My customer doesn't have a external csu, I used a patch cable. I set all the parameters by Global Systems Instructions by Gladys. O.K This is an ISDN PRI, using the first 10 voice only, I set these to ESF,B8ZS and DMS-100. when I set up my B-channels I did 1323-1301 but I cannot do the lines it doesnt except them (801-820) 821 it will take after this number 821 and so on. What am I doing wrong or can you give me the instructive order to my set-up. If I am missing anything please help I really need it on this one. My e-mail address is listed or post back thank you.

P.S. I am getting a red alarm on my 100D DS1 card

On the straight T1, where do you assign tie to the t1 channels? Will it prompt after you assign a 100d to a slot? Would Mongo do a board renumber after installing the 100D?

Ok 1st we'll do the T1..

Power Down
Insert 100D card
Power up
Board Renumber
Set your T1 parameters ...
(When you set lines/trunks, DS1, T1, you'll go to another screen where you'll be able to assign All Tie, etc.)
Set up you pool with your trunks in it.
Set up your ARS Table

Ok 2nd, the PRI

Now 1st off, using the 1st 10 for voice on a PRI?? I've never done that. Usually a PRI is for voice only because it has caller ID. Anyway here's the steps...

Same as above up to the parameters.
Set your T1/PRI parameters ...
(When you set lines/trunks, DS1, PRI, you'll go to another screen where you'll be able to assign All Tie, etc.)
(Then signaling and Suppression B8ZS and ESF)

Then go to PRI section...
B-CHANNEL GROUP
Assign B Channel ID's in Group 80 slot and port (1301-1323)
Assign Lines 801, etc. etc.
Incoming, Route by Dial Plan

DIALPLANRTG
Dial Plan Routing, service, misc., any service

OUTGOINGTBL
Outgoing table, special service, delete digits, pattern 5, 0 digits instead of the default 1 digit.

SWITCH TYPE
Swith Type, Slot#, DMS100, etc.

Now this is the basics to get it working. You still have to set up your patterns if necassary, etc.
