I've got a customer with local and long distance T-1's. They keep getting error 63-0227 and 63-0226. People are calling in and getting busies. People dialing out are getting no free lines. This happened about a month ago and it took resetting the KSU. Any ideas???
Thanks,

error 63 says lack of dtmf receivers ...try adding a second services card/ combo

Yea I have the same problem on a system with 2 PRI T-1s
I have a Combo card and a plain 6 port expantion card. I will get the second Combo card on Monday and will post the results then.

ISDN-PRI DO NOT USE DTMF FOR EITHER INCOMING OR OUTGOING, DCH DOES IT ALL

OLD ROLMEN WORKING ON NORTELS

[poke]PerryPJ- Please post your address so I can send you a new keyboard for X-mas. THE ONE YOU ARE USING NOW SEEMS TO HAVE BROKEN WHILE IN CAPS LOCK MODE.

No, I'm not using ACD. Does that make a difference?

PERRYPJ, Yes you are correct ISDN is not using the DTMF recivers, But I have put three ASM on the system and these are the reason that we are getting the errors on the system.
it shows 63-0205 on my system so I looked at the set 205 and it was a T7208 that through me off at first. Called Tech support and was told that the ASM is the unit looking for the DTMF Recivers. I don't know if this is true or not but will find out today.

ACD will cause problems like these if ACD backup phone is not programmed with 6 to 8 Itcm paths. T1 channels after 2 calls ring in will give busy signal to inbound caller on third or more.

This is what I've found so far.. Customer's got 2 DTI's w/ super trunks. One combo card and one standard 6 port fiber expansion. The call volume has been steadily going up over the last 6 months but they can't tell me how much call volume there is when they get the errors. I'm still waiting on an email back on if they have ACD or not. It sounds like the problem is not having a second combo card.

Question on Alarm 63-xxxx, what does the xxxx stand for Target Line, Port #, Extension or somthing totally different?

Per the MICS 6.0 IG, Alarm Codes,Page 509. "Alarm 63 Z" Z= Trunk port number.
