Hi All

I'm upgrading my MICS to a PRI (Megalink from Bell) and I am looking for the correct part no. for the services cartridge. I've found the T1 trunk card (NT7B74) but the SC seems to be showing as only for BRI? Can someone enlighten me here? I'm a little lost as to what the proper cartridge is.

Thanks!

Pikk

the physical parts you will need are the Digital Trink Interface cartridge (DTI card) and either the Services Cartridge or the MICS Combination fiber 6 port services cartridge.

Hi Jerry

Thanks for the quick reply. Actually, I know what cards and options I need but the description of the Services Cartridge is confusing. Most say they are for BRI not PRI. Is there a specific part number I should be looikng at?

thnx in advance.

Pikk

Both PRI and BRI need the services cartridge. this cartridge produces clocking and the DTMF receivers.

So what you're saying is the card is the same for both protocols? The part number I have is NTBB24.

Tnnx again.

You also must have the PRI Enabler.

You can find the parts at and we offer 24/7 Tech Support on products purchased.

NTBB24 or NTBB25 if you need ports and service cartridge, we only use the Combo Card for installations.

Nguru,

Thanks for the reply. My next question was going to be...what about a PRI enabler? But I guess you answered that. What is the PRI enabler exactly and why is it needed? Also...why would we want to sue a combo card over the services card?

Thanks for your help!!

The PRI Enabler allows you to do the PRI it is a keycode that must be added to the system in order to use the PRI. The combo card is only a couple 100 bucks more and you get a 6 port and a Service Card, when you break these 2 items out the Service Card and 6 port exp work out to be more money.
