IS-IT--Management
Just recently I had a T1 cicuit provisioned as part of a service provider migration. Currently the connection is fine between two sites with existing provider. I have Tadiran Coral PBX's at both sites. When I switch over to the new provider's T1 I get on the Coral PBX PRI cards: a DD light at the A (main) site and a DD and LOS light on the Z site (using the service provider's lingo for the two sites). The new service provider has tested clean from end to end up to my two DB15-RJ45 cables that plug in from the Samrt jacks to the PRI cards. I tested out the two DB15-RJ45 cables and found on one cable one pair had tip and ring wires reversed. I corrected this. Could this cause a LOS on the Z site PRI?
If it doesn't my Tadiran PBX vendor says the new service provider doesn't have the circuit provisioned correctly (perhaps the D-channel)- the provider says they do. Past experience has shown me that the providers always say they have no trouble when in fact they do and the customer has to prove beyond a doubt that there are no problems on the customer side before the provider will take a further look and make corrections. Has anyone had this experience?
